Il traffico d'armi del Pentagono passa per l'Albania
Il Capo del Governo albanese, riferendosi all'articolo che sarà pubblicato entro questa settimana dal “New York Times”, nega che l'Albania gestisca il traffico delle armi verso i guerriglieri Afghani. Attacca duramente le falsità e l'inesattezza dei dati contenuti all'interno del reportage del giornale statunitense e precisa che “il commercio di armi verso l'Afganistan esiste, ma prove e fatti dimostrano che l'appalto è stato sottoscritto dal Pentagono". "L'azienda in questione ha comprato armi per volere di quel governo in diversi Stati, anche quello che ha ispirato questa persona (si tratta del giornalista che ha redatto il reportage per il New York Times). Queste armi sono state poi rivendute in Afghanistan. Ma non c`è nessun commercio, oltre quello legale, potete anche prendere il relativo dossier”.
Questa la dura reazione del Primo Ministro Sali Berisha al reportage del quotidiano americano, denunciando la manipolazione delle informazioni effettuata allo scopo di dipingere l'Albania come "crocevia di un traffico d'armi illecito". “Il commercio delle armi è un monopolio di Stato. Una pallottola non viene venduta all'estero al di fuori di questo monopolio. Non vi è alcun commercio, oltre a quello legale”, dichiara Berisha. Dinanzi al Parlamento Berisha spiega che 4 mesi fa un giornalista - che a suo parere non si trova più presso il “New York Times” - arriva in Albania e incontra il Ministro della Difesa, Fatmir Mediu , motivando tale visita con la sua intenzione di portare a termine un'indagine su di un'azienda della Florida, e dunque non su un traffico di armi. A tal proposito Berisha sottolinea che "l'affare su cui pretendeva di indagare questo giornalista non era come pensava, ma un processo totalmente legale". Infatti - continua Berisha - un' azienda della Florida, la AEY, ha vinto un appalto pubblico presso il Pentagono da 300 milioni di dollari Americani, con la facoltà di acquistare armi in diversi paesi e tra questi anche in Albania. La compagnia contatta il Ministero della Difesa, in particolare la MEICO, che viene messa in contatto con una società con sede a Cipro, la Evdin Ltd. "Nel luglio del 2007 - ha aggiunto Berisha - una persona chiamata Kosta Trebicka ferma mio figlio e lo accusa di averlo ostacolato nei rapporti con un'azienda americana che vuole collaborare con lui. Mio figlio si difende affermando di non averlo mai incontrato, ma che è disposto ad incontrare quel cittadino americano. In un primo momento accetta, ma non lo ha mai portato all'incontro". Secondo Berisha, esiste un'intercettazione fra Kosta Trebicka e Efraim Diveroli, Presidente della società americana della Florida, durante la quale Trebicka afferma che vuole essere lui stesso il subcontractor, e Diveroli risponde che questo non dipende da lui. All'interno dell'intercettazione Diveroli dice a Trebicka che questo affare dipende da Pinari (direttore di MEICO) che consiglia di "inviargli una prostituta e di corromperlo con 25 mila dollari". “Diveroli ha mentito? Assolutamente no, ma sono convinto che uno di questi mafiosi albanesi ha usato il mio nome come la usa ordinariamente, affermando di avere il sostegno del Primo Ministro”.
In realtà, alla fine di tutto, non è necessario che escano delle armi dall'Albania, ma è fondamentale che risulti che escano da lì: del resto la Cia in Albania può fare tutto quello che vuole, quando l'America chiede l'Albania obbedisce. Un patto politico scellerato tra la destra e la sinistra ha fatto sì che questa storia continuasse, in maniera tale che tutti i contratti maggiormente compromessi siano "made Albanian", coprendo i veri colpevoli e lasciando che sia accusato lo Stato albanese . Peccato che nessuno ha considerato che in Albania neanche il servizio segreto può mantenere un segreto, perchè nel "Paese delle aquile" non esiste il segreto. Ora occorre solo aspettare l'evoluzione degli eventi, perché si giungerà ad una verità che è solo parziale, che condanna i soliti capri espiatori per proteggere gli yankees e i loro sporchi traffici.
